My wife and and I are thinking about hiking into Upper Palisades Lake (unit 67 Idaho) and fishing and bear hunting the last week of May. We plan on hiking in and camping 4-5 days have a few questions.
Snow pack around that time, is the area still buried or can we hike in?
Is the lake still ice covered?
Bear population in the area?
I've hunted unit 67 for elk, deer, and bear in the past. I was in a different area. I saw a good amount of bears but there no water and the wife wants to fish some.
I'll take input on other areas that would be good to. We've looked at a few places in the Ashton area but have never spent anytime in the area. I'd like to not become a snack for Griz too. Ha
Thanks
