Made a quick trip south to get out of the cold for a few days, should have stayed longer. The older I get the more I appreciate the weather this time of year in AZ.

Haven't hunted Javelina in several years, each time I go, I wonder why I just don't make it a point to go every year.

Lots and lots of these:

Found several herds of Javelina, shot this one with my muzzleloader...older boar:

Pretty good bunch of quail this year too...shot some but should have packed my shotgun more than I did.

Back to the icebox...this sucks.

Congrats. I'll be hunting them next week

Shhh, Arizona is awful don’t go! Congrats I absolutely love that desert country and hunting them.

Looks like it has greened up a bunch in the last month. I was down in early January and was amazed how dried out everything was. All the javelina my group got were super skinny

I've put off hunting javelina for too long. I'm finally at use/lose for AL, so I'm going for it next year. Looking at applying in NM and AZ both and doing a little javelina tour next January or February.

Cool hunt, well done! I just got back to the icebox after 3 weeks in AZ and can confirm it does indeed suck! No Javelina hunting for us, but we did put about 30 miles on the boots hunting quail.

Awesome. Been wanting to go south for a few years now for javelina. Just need to make it happen.

You should hunt in my neighborhood in Phoenix. We have some bigger than German shepherds and they do not fear people here while they use dry creek beds to navigate through neighborhoods and through golf courses.

Nice! I definitely missed Arizona this year especially since the weather the last couple weeks here has been abysmal.

Just got me even more excited for my javelina hunt. Thanks for sharing.

You have a picture of the skull/teeth? Or any intent to get the boar aged? I was tempted to send the lower incisors off to Matson's, but the skull looked funny without those teeth.

Great job Buzz, that's awesome! I've been going every other year now for about 6 years (3 trips). Rotated Javelina with AK spring grizzly last time and I'm lucky to get to go to AK for Grizzly again this year. Next year I'll be back to the desert for Javelina though. It's a great time to get away from the cold and enjoy a fun hunt in the desert!

Looks like a blast! I got a buddy who does it so I figure I need to give it a shot one of these years
