As they lay

S. Dakota buck I killed 2 days ago. It was COLD. Weather I saw said wind chill factor was -19°. I deboned all the meat on site. Was able to get the meat, cape, and skull in frame pack and made the pack out in one trip. Onx tracker said 1.37 miles. I drug the frame pack the first 700 or so yards out of the draw before I put the pack on for the rest of the way. Stopping intermittently to lean forward and catch my breath. Took an hour and a half. Thankful at 47 I am able to do that.
Stayed over an extra morning for a limit of pheasants with the 20 guage. Pheasants are as they lay as well.
