Lots of deer, especially bucks were seen this morning and into the very early afternoon. 3 failed stalks today on muleys and one for me on coues. The rest of the afternoon today was pretty slow for all. I'm sitting at an intersection of two roads in the middle of nowhere waiting for my ride. I've only seen two vehicles while waiting but they were both unsavory. Wish me luck.

Tristen and I are headed to high ground for coues this morning. The rest of the crew are hitting the low lands of the orchards for muleys.

That was 2 weeks ago. But I haven't seen any since I arrived.

One coues buck spotted so far. He was on the move and a long ways off. He is in the back pocket for now.

Only stalk bedded coues, if they are on their feet you'll never catch them. If want to go after a cruising buck, your best bet is to see where he is heading and try and ambush him.

I still kick myself for not having a deer tag a couple years ago when I glassed up a 180+ muley and then a day or two later had a 4 point coues casually walk past me at about 40 yards
