Anyone else see this?

I’m pretty sure his son is the guy I was laughing at for the wooden bugle tube.
It is. Beau is one heck of an elk caller.

I never said I hate the guy, just that with those kinds of numbers I'm going to be skeptical until I see proof. If Pope and Young do not require DNA testing for the bull and polygraphs for the hunting party, then they aren't any better than Safari Club International in my opinion.
With where it’s from I feel tons better than I do about the spider bull. The area has been producing big bulls for a long time they just don’t see as much publicity as elk from other places. I don’t have a single doubt it’s a size xxl wild bull

Yes, kind of. There are still special hunts that are LE. NRs might want to make sure they read the rules and do some research before making the drive in the hopes of a 400 inch bull. But yes, we will happily take their money. 😆
Well I’m planning on coming otc next year and I’m going to be one pissed off dude if I can’t shoot a 400” Christmas bull

Hunttalk - where no matter how lucky you get, or how hard you work and earn it, people will always doubt you and hate you for something.

At least he has a 490 inch bull to laugh at some of these comments with!
Twelve bulls over 400 isn’t luck. 80 some bulls with a bow isn’t luck. If it was just luck and hard work I’d tell you all to tighten those laces, buy some overpriced male health supplements and keep hammering.

I don't hate the guy. He is an accomplished hunter and magnitudes better than me (that's not saying much). I am also sure he worked hard. Total props to the guy. I just feel like there is more to the story that helps with context so people don't go around thinking "that could have been me". That was more realistic with Felix's MT bull. I think Brooks other two top entries are from Arizona. Maybe someone with a P&Y login can see the counties on other entires. A 400inch bull is pretty rare creature. This guy seems to have a radar-like ability to find them.

He has the time and funds to hunt anywhere he wants because his family owns UPS. He hunts the Rez a lot, and the videos I've seen, he makes the guide, which is required, stay back behind him. He also buys enough raffle tickets in OR and WA to win a lot of hunts. This Bull was on a WA raffle tag. Unlike others that have the money to afford these hunts, he has the skill and patience to kill giant Bulls, no posse and paid scouters required.

Yeah like how much did the tag cost at auction?

I thought the post said auction tag?

You don’t kill that many 400+ without a lot of money exchanging hands. You also don’t kill that many without being a hell of a hunter. I’d love to spend a week elk hunting with him bet I’d learn a pile. Guy seems like a greenhorn but with greenbacks

No posse and "his friends" are all doing this for free, not even expense reimbursements?

I'm sure he worked hard, but money surely played a part in making this happen.
