Anybody Buying Yet? Where’s the Bottom?

Someone buddy check SAJ or we won't hear from him til Trump's next brainfart....
Im sure we won’t have to wait for the next brainfart. I’m on vacation. Sunny Florida. I will note that this stuff always happens when I’m on Vaca. I assume it’s because I hate trading from the phone and can’t see charts. Only trade today was covering treasury shorts.

Only real insight is in times like this a lot of discussions happen that the public never hears about. I’m sure the sell-off in treasuries made the Fed very nervous. Trump and his minions can posture all they want, but it won’t stop the market/people from rushing to protect money and creating a financial crisis. Lots of people, including professionals, haven’t seen a true liquidity crisis, and no one living has seen a trade war.

Also, 10% rallies are not a sign of a healthy market. Heard this was the best daily gain for the Nasdaq since 2001, and that wasnt anywhere near a bottom.

So who bought into AMD last night/early this morning at $80/share? Are you selling now at $95 and running? 118% isn't bad for one day!

Not a day trader, and I'd sold my AMD a long time ago when it was a lot higher. But didn't make anywhere that much of a gain -- too bad I had to work today!

Other people likely already noted here as elsewhere, that if Trump is going to flip flop this big, this often, then metaphorically speaking, the White House's "Policy Bus" that's currently swerving all over the road running over fire hydrants and senior citizens in walkers, probably won't make CEOs feel comfortable making big moves like building factories, etc.

Best analogy ever.

We should look at the market like we do Trump's hair.

Such thin support he can't keep either one from flopping back and forth wildly.

Relax trumps just reading the room, figuratively speaking

Maybe, but it feels a lot like an emergency room. If he were a ER doctor, this was him going into a hospital break room to randomly stab an EMT during their lunch break, then wheeling him down to the ER and performing life saving surgery. I guess the EMT should be grateful because they would have died if he weren't such a good doctor.

Bummed I missed out on today's rally (and maybe that was "the bottom"), but should be fun to see what the market does over the next few months, in part because even before all this tariff drama people were suggesting we might already be in a recession.

More like chemotherapy for a cancer patient, in my opinion.
