I didn't say that they are there to help you time the market, in fact I said that they can give you good advice based on history. They can give you good long term advice based on what has happened in the past, and based on current taxation laws, and make assumptions about the future. If they actually knew what was going to happen to stocks, then they wouldn't be working.Hilarious. If you think that is what a financial advisor is for, you need a new one. They aren't there for you to rely on them to "Time the market" but instead how to properly invest and diversify
