Because it was absolutely impossible that he wouldn't have injured his hand during the very next regular season game?Well here's another reason not to play this tourney during regular season.
MONTREAL -- Shea Theodore will miss the rest of the 4 Nations Face-Off because of an upper-body injury he sustained in Canada’s 4-3 overtime win against Sweden at Bell Centre on Wednesday.
The Vegas Golden Knights announced Thursday that the defenseman is out week to week.
Theodore left the best-on-best tournament opener shortly after he was checked into the boards by Sweden forward Adrian Kempe at 2:23 of the second period.
Canada coach Jon Cooper had said Wednesday that Theodore would be unable to play again in the tournament, which runs through Feb. 20.
You're missing the point, I think.Because it was absolutely impossible that he wouldn't have injured his hand during the very next regular season game?
Its part of the game and hockey players aren't *ussies like the rest of the sports world.
Lets go USA tonight!
This is their job and I guess that is where we don't see this equally. These games and a players performance as I see it directly relates to their work. Being on one of these teams alone immediately just helped boost their value and status in the league. You're missing the point, I think.
No one is calling them pu$$ies or saying injuries don't occur. The issue is that he got hurt while playing an exhibition game for his country, not his employer. Now, his employer has to suffer the consequences, to no fault of their own. He can just as easily get hurt while playing for the Golden Knights, but at least it is on the job, where it's acceptable.
