The crew got this 2024 Coues deer hunt turned around in quick fashion. Those of you subscribing to FT+ already saw this two-part series.
I used up all of my draw luck in 2023 for a late season Coues tag; first time I ever drew my first choice on a deer application. In 2024, it was back to my second choice being picked, which was not a big surprise, given how easy it is to draw some of the "off-season" hunts. What was a surprise was when this buck showed up.
For those of you who hunt these little buggers, you know the allure; cool landscapes, warmer temps, lots of glassing, best eating of the deer species I've tried, and usually plenty of them to keep you interested. They may not be big, but they are usually abundant.
