Huge bodied Buck

[Life by the Horns]

I only get one buck tag a year here in my home state. I'm usually looking for a good whitetail, but when I spotted this big framed Muley, I was immediately hooked. Thankfully for me, his mind was on the rut, and he never noticed me closing the gap behind him. I ended up getting some super footage of him doing his muley thing before taking a shot. This was one of the few times I've walked up on a buck that had ground "growage" as opposed to ground shrinkage! I sent his teeth into the lab for cementum annuli aging, and the results came back that he was a 6 year old buck!

This is the first episode of multiple muley hunts coming up, all with some great bucks hitting the ground.

Cool footage of a really impressive buck. Congrats! Any idea of the dressed weight? He looks to me like he'd be over 300 pounds (though I don't know how big you are).

I don't, but I think he was well north of 250 for sure! I'm 6'2" and about 260, and he was bigger than me.
