And Utah says, Hold my Beer!

Just think what's going to happen in wyoming when wyoga sees this gives them a reason to push the special even higher .....it won't stop me from applying in Utah

My goodness.

To all of those folks who are nonresidents of Utah, I'd like to apologize for the absolute BS that continues to come out of my home state. Developing every acre of habitat for homes, pimping out the wildlife to the highest bidder, continuation of the attempts to first take control of federal lands inside the state and then sale those lands, and the list goes on and on . . .

What an absolute joke Utah has become - or has always been in some regard.

Then they can just give more tags to SFW to auction off.

This will have to make me think more about keep entering in the Utah draw, I already just view it as a lottery ticket. I don't really plan on drawing anything but you cant win if you don't play. Might just use that money on raffle tickets here in AZ.

I never thought I would seriously consider dropping Utah. This is where I lived when I first started all the point games. I have drawn, Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico and Arizona. I put in for all those plus Colorado and Nevada.

I am seriously considering dropping Nevada. 12 years of points and my odds are still terrible. Just not worth it. Now this from Utah…I figure it would be close to $400 to apply. Plus they want to get $1200 for a general elk tag and $800 for a general deer tag. These prices with the terrible odds makes me pause.

I am two years from retirement and the shift in the hunting world has me really rethinking my retirement plans. I always wanted a to move back to the west and buy a retirement home in a hunting friendly location. All the anti public land and crazy cost is getting to be too much.

Lately my wife and I have considered buying a place on the coast (probably Hawaii) and just getting more into fishing. I never thought I would be priced out of hunting but if all the states follow this trend it would be almost $2500 just in applications and multiple thousands more if I were “lucky” enough to get even a general tag.

c’est la vie

Good luck in the draws.
