An counterpoint article I wrote conserning trophy hunting and hunting in general, in response to the mostly uneducated internet outcry for Cecil the Lion.
As you can see from the comments section, it was suggested I "go to a psychologist" to get myself checked out if I actually thought hunters were conservationists.
Than I made the mistake of actually responding to the comments, bringing up the money earned from the Pittman Robertson Act and the Federal Bird Stamp, etc.
Its not the most perfectly written piece. I only had 700 words to work with.
I believe I "borrowed" a point from Big Finn on how hunters are actually participants in the natural world, while hikers/campers/photographers, etc are only observers. that was not well received as you can imagine.
