Alaska 2024

Flew up to Alaska for some fly fishing. We flew in and fished the Kivchak and Nushagak among others. Mainly for Silvers and Rainbows, but we caught Dollys, Sockeye, Loads of Pinks, some Chum and Grayling on drys.

I am flying up with my Bow next week, I have 10-12 to get a Bou. Heading to a different area and flying in.

The fishing in Alaska is off the charts, don’t wait.

Having been 3 times, I will give the caveat that you still have to be where the fish are, when the fish are there.

Love the photos! A friend and I are going to the Kvichak first week of Sept 2025 for big rainbows. A guy I know has been doing the trip for 10+ years and organizes the group at a DIY lodge. Working on making sure my gear is setup. Will probably do one fly out day to a smaller river/creek.
