Hey guys, thought I might place this here since I know we have a lot of late season guys come in to hunt the rut here in Alabama. From my personal experience it is pretty accurate from what I can tell. You can pretty much have rut activity from late November to mid February.

Hello, I lived in north Morgan county for 12 years. Being a native to the NW it took me a while to figure out the Bama rut. As a taxidermist I can concur that there is a long confusing rut as I would get bucks with swollen necks all thru the winter. I never really got use to seeing rubs in February. When I lived there you could get 3 deer a day for 90 days. I did enjoy the bow hunting and always made time to make my hunts out west than come home to another rut in Bama. Have a healthy 2014.
