Ollin Magnetic Digiscoping System

Action?

Sure, you can replace the tikka trigger, but why though?

$10 spring replacement and you have one of the best, most reliable, triggers on the market.

And mags are mags, unless one doesn’t feed reliably.
I like aics mags - mostly cause i can use what i already have but i see your point. This all pieces together for a real nice semi custom rifle for pretty cheap with a tikka.

I like tikkas and i love my savage but neither would be my first choice to "build" off of - for the price of the rifle to use as a donor action you can almost buy a decent custom.

Stainless lite tikkas have been available for low $700s for a long time. Pretty cost effective with mag and trigger included. More so if you use the existing 22-250 barrel. If not, there’s a market for tikka take off barrels as well so nock another $100 off the cost.

Just make the list of parts you want - google them - add it up. No matter how you piece it together the tikkas will be half of the Rem customs.
My first custom was on a Tikka and it was easily 2/3 the price of my full custom 700.

ETA and I did all the work on my own since they accept prefits

A blued tikka complete rifle can be picked up for under $600 after rebate right now from certain places
Sell the barrel and stock, both for $100, and you’re down to a $400 donor action.

Tough call though - $400 tikka or $1500 Rem 700 clone.

Just wish the tikka LA wasn’t a true size schmedium.

Unknown Munitions has a bottom metal and mag that has an OAL of over 3.5”, so there’s an option, but adding that brings the price back up to 700 clone territory
