This Tikka 12-70 came in for a refinish.
It had some minor rust, a small split in the forend, and the recoil pad was rotten. All in all it was in decent shape though.

After full disassembly all the steel was blasted and prepped for Cerakote. I wasn't able to get all of the pitting out but most went away. It was sprayed in Graphite Black.

The stocks were stripped down to bare wood. A new recoil pad was fitted and the scratches were addressed. I re cut the checkering after the finish cured out.

I still need to work in the action as it's a bit stiff from the added thickness of the coating. A little bit of polish will take care of that.

Never seen one of those, great work as usual! I have one of the old savage 22/410’s in the safe, sure doesn’t look that good tho!
