A couple hours in western Montana.

For years I took photos with a $300 (used bridge camera). After moving from Alaska and settling in Montana, I found myself out taking photos about 6 times per week. So I finally bought a "real camera" a Canon R7.

Yesterday I went out for a coupe hours with a RF 800mm F/11 lens.
The lens cost me $600 (used) and since the R7 is a cropped sensor, it has an effective reach
of 1280mm. The downside is the fixed F/11 so it need lots of light.

I started with an owl in the fog and ended the morning with an antelope. A fun couple of hours.
If you zoom in on the bison photo, there are many flies on the bison's back. Looks miserable.
