6.5 cm hate?

I would say as someone who has a few friends who are "adult onset hunters", they see the 6.5CM as the "perfect hunting round". Does that come from the hunting community perpetuating it as a joke combined with the naivety of newcomers, or the success of a marketing department?
If new hunters look at blogs, YouTube, F&S, and OL for good advice rather than product placement I'm sure some would come away with the idea that the 6.5 CM is the greatest thing around.
 
Just bought a 6.5CM over the weekend, for my step daughter of course. I will never shoot it myself, except to sight it in and maybe for deer hunts back east, I may try it when I pronghorn hunt and probably on mule deer. Oh I suppose it could be a back up elk rifle, but no I won't ever shoot it myself. :sneaky:
