Caribou Gear Tarp

4 sleeps

Well your timing might just be perfect. Plenty of news on how hot the west was this year. It’s going to be hot for a few more days and then the high, from the Blue Mountains of Oregon into the Rockies is going to be 30 degrees cooler next week. Could throw the rut into high gear.
Good luck and have a great time.

Good Luck & Good Hunting.

Cooler nights and days should get them going more than they have been, here. Maybe there too.

Well we got back this morning at around 6:30, had a great trip. My son got an elk and well I came close but no cigar. Saw elk had encounters every day but just didn’t work out for me in bow range. If they were they were behind trees or thick brush and had no shot. The only shot I did have was on a cow and I had about a 6” window to squeeze the arrow thru and well in the excitement I hit the tree on the right side. We saw a black bear as well it was surely an awesome trip. Side note my workouts this summer helped, and my homemade dehydrated meals were delicious. Photo dump included.

His first ever elk was with a bow. Excited was an understatement.
