I hope your results vary from mine... I ran a few tests of RL-17 and just couldn't get it to shoot worth a dang... I don't remember what the velocity was like, but I couldn't get it under 1.5 MOA.

Bet it wouldn't bounce off anything! That seems entirely too reasonable.
Although I don't think a 200 gran TTSX would do well in a standard 8x57JS.
Dang it.
I've had good success in mid-bores.
Lots of cartridges can do that just as "handily". mtmuleyHow many cartridges handily drop a moose at 600 yards with as flat a trajectory? Educate me .
The lack of available loaded ammunition for the 325 over the 300 if you don't reload. Even if you reload the selection for .323 bullets is nothing compared to the selection of .308 bullets. I have both cartridges but if I was going to build a rifle it would be the .300 wsm just because of the availability of bullets. If you don't reload, I would suggest the .300 wsm hands down. If you reload and want something different go with the .325 wsm.So, say I was planning on building a Remington Model 7 with a magnum bolt face. Is there any reason the 325 WSM wouldn't be a great choice? I was planning on 300 WSM but 8mm really intrigues me.
