I’m always psyched to see spring turkey season approaching. Should be able to get a couple birds in WY and hopefully add a long weekend trip to an adjacent state if work and family schedules allow. Potentially my favorite of all the hunting seasons!

Can’t wait! It’s funny how a dumb bird can be so hard to kill some days. That’s what makes it so fun though.

Got my spots all picked out for opening day. Might have to camp out a day or two before hand just to be sure.

Applications went up quite a bit in WI so my Dad and my son both missed on tags and I got a less than optimal time period. Going to try and pick up some leftovers - after I see how that goes I’ll come up with a plan.

@wllm1313 you might want to check the regs there in MA, I’m not sure you’re allowed to scout with the aid of a dog, even if leashed.

My favorite season in Wisconsin, have the first 4 seasons covered between me and the family. Probably head to south dakota for a few days as well.
Been monitoring this flock for the last few weeks, somewhere around 120 in there, 15 or so toms, around 25 jakes and 2 bearded hens. Another flock of 50+ on my brother farm, that has a dozen toms in it, things are looking promising in my neighborhood 20210128_155457.jpgScreenshot_20210105-202930_Gallery.jpg

Put about 6 miles on the boots with the dog today checking out some potential turkey ground. No verified birds but it looked good. I'll be back closer to the season to hopefully pinpoint a couple. Gonna have to kill mine early since my wife is due the last week of the season. My cousin also mentioned that her boy has been talking about wanting to go turkey hunting, so I may take him during youth week.

I'm not much of a turkey hunter, but I do try. I got my bird last year about 500 yards from my house. If that doesn't work out this year, I have a good place here at work I can hunt, as well as some public land within a 15 minute drive that usually holds birds.

Getting ready to start scouting and hanging up cameras soon. Got some spots I found during elk season I’m excited to check out

Spring= draw results. That's all I care about. Turkeys can be a fun weekend hunt though.

I am jacked for turkey season.

I am hunting Texas, Nebraska and Montana for sure and hope to throw in Idaho as well.

Wanted to do FLA early in the season but not happening this year unfortunately.

I love hunting turkeys, good luck to all your fellow turkey loons! :)
