I have a big double beard that has been hanging close to the house for a few years that I can’t seem to kill. I typically go to my turkey honey hole. Seen 20+ long beards there the last day of musket season so I’m looking forward to spring.

I'm hoping to draw an eastern plains tag here in CO. Saw quite a few turkeys out there while I was deer hunting this past year.

Just waiting on the Colorado draw to see if we drew a primo unit or if we are fighting the OTC army like last year

More excited about snow geese in nodak but I’m sure many a Turks will succumb to the wrath of my posse come April.

Most likely no turkey hunting for me this year. Planning two separate bear hunts here in Sasky. Going to do my usual bait hunt and will do a float bear hunt/elk recce.
Are you taking tortillas?

Still a long wait for me : May 1, Vt. and NY. Youth season April 24 & 25 if I can scrounge up a kid.

@wllm1313 ‘s picture is basically my moms driveway in WI every day. There is a ‘turkey broom’ leaning against the garage door to get them out of her path to the mailbox.

We are trying a new limited unit in NW CO this year. friend moved there 2y ago and has made some connections. Flipping a coin this weekend between NW Nebraska or Black Hills as a supplemental.

was hoping for NE WI, but I see I am back to 1 point there (WIs DNR site is about as intuitive as string theory)

Starting to see the flocks move around the fields here in Central Ory... going to try some fringe hunting on the adjacent BLM this year if the knee allows! Thinking of combo turkey a daybreak down off the roosts and yote mid mornings!

Tortillas is #1 hunting food!

Sweet tooth? Tortilla with PB&J or Nutella. Got the whole camping get up? Makes some massive camp burritos (or Gorditas ). Going ghetto? Get some turkey/ham, sliced cheese and slap some mustard on dat!

Tortillas are the swiss army knife of foods.

I’ve made backcountry quesadillas on a flat rock in the fire. It pairs nicely with mountain house chili Mac and an IPA.

I have plans in Iowa, Wisconsin, & South Dakota (pending draw). I purchased my 2 Iowa tags, drew a 2nd season WI tag, and entered the draw for a prairie tag in SD. I plan on adding Nebraska and Wyoming to my list in the next couple years, that way when I retire in a couple years, I'll hopefully be familiar with some locations in each state, and will do a big "turkey loop" each spring. Iowa is my home state, and I've got several productive locations from years of experience. I hunted WI for the first time last year. Got blanked but learned the lay of the land in several spots. For the SD tag that I hope to draw, it will be a learning experience since I've not put boots to the ground yet. Pumped. Patterned the gun this week.
