270 130gr Nosler Partition and 308 Speer 165gr Hot Cor

Was wondering if anyone has any advice with these bullets for elk? Taking son-in-law and grandson to Wy for cow elk. Thanks in advance!

Both would work just fine. Pick one that shoots the best and one your grandson shoots the best and go for it.

Killed elk with both or similar. Don't overthinking it.

No experience with Partitions, they are 130.00/50 count where I live so reloading them is a no go. But Hot-cors are pretty dang good for standard cup and cor. I have never recovered one, always a pass through when shooting at ribs. Price was good when I bought them as well. .30/bullet vs 2.60/bullet lol.

you can't go wrong with a partition. Nosler designed it to get through a Moose shoulder with a 300 H&H.... 270 at the right range no further than 300 yards will do the trick.
