Seriously, had I been a better shot with my bow, I would have put in for an archery permit this year due to Utah’s new elk plan.

Nothing about confidence, it’s about maximizing total fun. It’s an elk hunt. Can always hunt with a rifle later in MT this year and every year. What possible public land elk permit would be better and what weapon? Easy to argue, but I would not trade this for the 5 day early rifle permit on beaver or anywhere. Will be the best use of 25 points possible this year. 23N rifle and bow in AZ maybe better, maybe not.
