Morning, FNG here. My son drew unit 23, elk, rifle, this year. It will be his first hunt of anything!!! Well, he killed a bunny last fall. He's USMC combat vet.. Anyway, he's letting me go as camp cook. At least I get to go!! I'm in TX so, it kinda hard to help him scout. So far he looking near Dinner Canyon off 288. if y'all can help me help him with info that would be assume. I can't make a new thread as I'm new. If there is another place I should post, please let me know.

How much did that set you back? Guided?

3rd choice deer tag in a not great unit but this is my first time drawing in a few years from NM. Excited to head out to New Mexico and chase mulies around.

I drew a bull tag as NR, then moved here in July. Actually got 6 landowner tags by Sept, as resident.
Hunted 6a and filled the tag. NR.
Could not give away any of those 1st few years LO tags.

You know you have someplace to dispose of one these days! Will still put in for NM once we move - Caldera for #1, then down your way for 2 and 3. Probably the only tag we will put in for, will consider all a donation to NMGF. Years we don't draw will mean fishing trips to NM during chile season - San Juan of course, need to try the Gila.
