I’m trying hard, but I cannot like Mark Manning and the Nebraska staff at all. He threw the brick in to challenge a call that he knew wasn’t going to win to give Tayler a breather.

Trump was there. He’s been to several of the wrestling finals. Daniel Cormier and that Rock guy are the worst announcers possibly ever for any sport. I watched every session on the Matcast, all the mats on 1 screen. They had Shane Sparks and Trent Hidlay as the commentators. They were actually really good.

Shane Sparks is great. He comes across as a bit over the top to some folks, but there’s no questioning his passion for the sport.

Shane sparks he used to kind of erk me but he has toned it down. Very passionate and very knowledgeable. Hidlay has first hand experience in the NCAA championship and did a good job of explaining what the wrestlers were experiencing in the moment, whether that was their mindset Saturday morning or during the match.

Confirmed. He announced his commitment on Flo this morning. Wild…I saw that last night as well. The Iowa boards are all up in arms about it!if you want a good laugh just go on their forums. Some of those posters take the award for dumbest sports fans ever.
There probably hasn’t been one the quality of Ono but the experiment of taking lifelong freestylers and transitioning them into folk style in college has not been overly successful. It will be interesting to see what weight he goes. I can’t see him at 125. 133 on an hour weigh in will be tough. Usually international weigh in is the day before.
I hope he succeeds. It’s crazy to say this but He doesn’t really have a spot in Japan with the hammers they have at 57 Kg and 65 kg. Will he seek U.S. citizenship?

This week will be interesting with the Portal opening up. There are already a few guys entering. Several from Iowa State, one guy from Iowa so far.
