It's that time of year, what's your plans for 25 look like by the numbers. Not point building or generals for residents actual application to draw, all species you normally apply for.

Voted same.

With a 2.5 year old and a 6 month old. I will be treading water again.

Sticking closer to home. Had 5 tags last year. Alot of 3-4 day stuff. Probably be about the same.

Shoot for one big tag to focus on. Then sprinkle in the same old with a few tweaks to keep things interesting.

My biggest dilemma right now is I have more then enough points to due a hunt I wanted to a long time ago. But right now another species has captured my focus.

I'm going ape shit. 37 (38 in a couple weeks) for some reason was eye opening. I'm half way to retirement and haven't done a fraction of the things I wanted to do in life, hunting wise. So I guess this is my mid life crisis. Although priority is helping my cousin with an elk hunt to return a favor. So all my apps are shooting for the stars, this year.

With a newborn coming in July and a landowner mule deer tag lined up I'll be going a little easier on apps. Only have the time for one other out of state hunt this year. The plan for now is to apply for elk/pronghorn in AZ and a pile of things in NM. Then I'll draw at a minimum my NM deer tag if not a couple NM tags and not have to worry about applying elsewhere🤣. When that falls through I'll have to make a decision between using my WY deer or pronghorn points or a SD blackhills whitetail tag. Will still apply for all the long shot hunts that I usually do CO sheep/moose, ID moose, SD Custer bison, etc. and gladly make the time if I draw one of those. Love the over thinking, anticipation, and all the ups and downs of app season. Can't wait to see what I end up chasing this year.

I'm in for three additional states, only one tag with a real chance to draw. The others are low odds with high reward with an anticipation of gaining points and a refund.

My hope is to score here at home with some elusive first choices.

I am going apeshit too but instead of 38 I turned 49 last month. I feel I was 38 yesterday, 28 the day before, and 18 maybe last week. I know that doesn’t help much, lol. Good luck this year.

Good luck to you as well. One thing I realized and am focused on is staying in shape. When my kids are old enough to hunt I'm not gonna miss anymore years with them that I can help because I'm too old.

Less for me. I’m more focused this year and have a couple of deer tags that I should draw and I’d be happy with them. Also my son isn’t probably joining me this year so won’t be putting him in for many draws either.

You didn't put in NONE. I don't hunt out of state for big game. Never have probably never will. I'm not greedy and I don't have anything to prove to myself or the world. I know who I am and what I can do and CAN'T do.

Not sure I'd call it greedy. And I definitely don't due it to prove it to anyone or myself. But the desire to explore and discover drives me to new experiences and places.

Shooting for the stars means “less” in my experience! on the other hand, you may find yourself explaining what OIL really means.

I voted less- I have some ultimatums regarding unfinished projects around the house to deal with.

Freezers pretty full so I'll cut back on my applications this season and build some points.

In south Dakota I'll maintain the normal number of applications but I don't think I'll plan on any out of state hunts this year. Who knows maybe with my luck I'll pull another miracle tag in south Dakota

Pretty much all hail mary's and points for me. Not a great year for me and my schedule, will need to be a once in a lifetime tag to get me west of the Mississippi
