The Smoke/horse flys/mosquitos are unbearable, made it 3 days and had to call it quits need rain and cooler weather. Had to have there goat coats on almost the entire time.

Yes, opening weekend was the only time I’ve been able to get out. On my way in for that opening weekend hunt I somehow tweaked my SI joint lower back area. I ended up walking about 20 miles with a tweaked back and by the time opening day rolled around, I could barely walk. I somehow managed to make it back to the truck August 2. I then proceeded to drive home and I have been in and out of VA appointments and therapist, finally yesterday I was able to get a steroid shot in my SI joint now it’s a matter of a little bit of time till I can get going again. I planned this hunt to be very exciting and keeping the hunt family entertained. Unfortunately, this did not happen. I also was supposed to leave for an antelope hunt two days ago that I may have to cancel now or shorten severely.
