2024 College Football 🏈 Season starts tomorrow…. Yee Yee

I don't root for the rival here in Montana, but I think the Bison are looking at an ass kicking. mtmuley
Maybe they win, maybe they lose, but all the other ass kickings predicted here on HT by the MT mafia over the years have not ended well for the ‘cats.

I predict a close game, but if one team was to stomp the other, more likely the stomping done by the 9 time champs, not the one who comes up short every year.

Vols will win. There will be no home field advantage based on all that I'm seeing on X. Big10 is rated higher than they should be. Ohio State lost to 6-5 Michigan at home. There is no reason why anyone should expect them to beat Vols when Ohio State has almost no Oline while they are going against probably the best Dline in the country.

Yeah, I get that on paper they are supposed to be the "most talented" team in the country. That's the same roster that lost to 6-5 Michigan at home.

Clemson / Texas going about like I thought it would. Oh well, there's always next year!

I have no skin in this game, but how is it different than getting beat by 6-6 Razorbacks? Ohio state is 3rd best team in B10, #2 just won its game, nobody thinks Oregon is not top 3, so how it B10 over-rated? Just because of IU? IU got a lucky schedule, but then again teams like ND and Boise have soft schedules every year and few gripe.

Expect a good game. If I had to plunk down $$ at the counter I would put it on OSU and hope for the best, but knowing it is an iffy proposition - just a little less iffy than the opposite bet.

Well it's a new year.

Grudgingly admit- I kind of like the new playoff format.

Just a hint of March Madness vibes, anything can happen.

#2 in the Big10 was actually Indiana according to their standings. Ohio State would be #4 in the Big10 standings, but not that it matters. We simply don't know how good Oregon is. They only played Ohio St of the top Big10 teams during regular season and won by 1 at home due to a strategy that is now illegal by the NCAA. Oregon hasn't lost, so they get #1 by default.

A few ways Michigan and Arkansas are different ... Arkansas game was Oct 5 (a long time ago). Michigan was Ohio St's last game. if you aren't aware, Vols have a Freshman QB in his first year. Arkansas was an away game for Vols. Michigan was a home game for Ohio St. I think it's reasonable to expect a Freshman QB to get better with more experience. Ohio St's QB is a 5th year Senior ... you have what you have after that much time. Vols QB has thrown 4 QBs in each of the last two games which is almost half of what he threw in the previous 10 games.
