Gastro Gnome - Eat Better Wherever

2024/5 Super Bowl For Wildlife!

Yup! At least you know the excel layout.
Once all is complete for the wild card weekend, the excel will present each person's wins, and the overall wins +/- for Jan 11-13.

Going into MNF:

  • 1st: Pucky Freak 4W / 30 points
  • 2nd: Sytes 4W / 31 points
  • 3rd: Wild Bill 4W / 35 points
  • Lowest Score: Lukethedog 3L / -13 points

Updated above with some potential shifts based on the Rams v Vikings!

Wow! Jefferson and Darnold should have walked off together and talked it out. Jefferson is flat out showing his frustration!

Pucky, Forky, Grant, Jabber, and Seeth are Rams carriers.

Rams win for Pucky, Forky, and Jabber will pull ahead with 5 of 6 wins.

Well, crap. I was going to stick with random dice rolls for the rest of the bracket to ensure I landed the last place prize.

But if Iā€™m reading the excel chart correctly, Iā€™m actually now in a 3-way tie for first and I hold the tie-break.

Keep up the ā€˜luckyā€™ dice, or make my own picks next?? Hmmā€¦

Yeah sorry, I've got a pink hat coming my way, apparently most of my picks sent their practice squads to the playoffs šŸ¤£

We've not competed with a lowest position before and found an error in the default excel calculation forumula.
The win / loss ratio is accurate. The point calculation is being tweeked a bit. Bear with me while I get the #'s to properly reflect proximity to score.

Ok, have it worked out now, care of my wife.

Divisional Round

Copy/Paste in your post the following for Jan 18-19. Bold, color, highlight, underline, whatever to make known the team you've selected and be sure to add your projection for the game total scores!
Post your Divisional Round teams and game total scores. Entries must be in no later than kick off Saturday 4:30pm ET, Jan 18th. No edits permitted after this time.

Saturday, Jan. 18

  • (4) Texans at (1) Chiefs, 4:30 p.m. ET
  • (6) Commanders at (1) Lions, 8 p.m. ET
Sunday, Jan. 19

  • (4) Rams at (2) Eagles, 3 p.m. ET
  • (3) Ravens at (2) Bills, 6:30 p.m. ET

The hot tamale of this round is likely Ravens v Bills.
Then there's the steam building potential of the Commanders v Lions.
Maybe this is where the Chief's had too many sissy pina coladas during their beach time and the Texans pull the upset.
But wait, there's one more! Eagles and Rams. Hmmm, Hurts v Stafford.
Maybe this round, for all you Wild Card 5 winners, this is the round of visible upsets!

Planting any seeds of doubt for ya, Pucky, Jabber, and Forky? Need to break through the 5 win barrier crew!

Saturday, Jan. 18

  • (1) Chiefs, 41
    • *KC wins by a field goal at the buzzer, after a highly questionable penalty call moves them into range ( I should get bonus points for this!)
  • (1) Lions, 38
Sunday, Jan. 19
  • (4) Rams, 34
  • (2) Bills, 45
