I wasn’t able to watch the first round but i listened to parts of it on the radio. The hammers did what hammers do but there were a few medium seeds that went down. 197 will feature to returning all Americans battling tonight in Elam and Warner. Gomez looks like he is back to form at 149 after the big tens and he could be an all American from a double digit seed.

I am an Iowa fan, but I’m also a wrestling fan. What sets penn state apart is they find a way and they get more out of guys like van Ness, who wasn’t even considered as a serious threat to AA but I wouldn’t be surprised to find him the finals.

Ramos wrestled a near perfect match. I Can’t believe lee didn’t try harder for another turn in the 2nd period.

What a match. I'm shocked I didn't see that coming. Ramos wrestled a hell of a match. I feel bad for Lee, but that is what makes this sport so exciting. On any given day something like that can happen.

Yeah, I think the future is bright for Van Ness and Haines. I think Bartlett overachieved, as well. Dean disappointed, but 197 is such a meat grinder at NCAAs.
