2023/2024 update !!! Norris Road Elk Hunt

I’m sure this place will take some time to really pattern the elk and get it dialed. And the complex mountain wind patterns will make it extra challenging. Grind it out. Lace up them boots. Go deep.
It's funny I've driven by that place a thousand times, but never looked at it on onX, so I didn't know it was public. Never appealed to me as a place that I would like to hunt. This explains why there's always people glassing that hillside.

Serious question, IF I were to burn 7 days of PTO, me and 6 of my best buddies set a wall tent up on that beutiful country to the north that touches the road and rotated shifts on who got to the spot at 3AM to park in that spot you mentioned earlier, what are my odds at a 250" bull? (go hunt says i got a 19% chance at a 260" bull). "With persistence one may find a Turner bull in the stubble off the road"...

I wouldn’t know. I’ve never done more than drive by, usually in the dark this time of year. Have. Ever considered spending any time hunting somewhere like that.

Oh, it isn’t just elk, my man. We also like to wild out on some roadside quarter-section antelope too. Gotta spray and pray with semi-auto tackle since they’re so small. Not ready to go public with my exact spots just yet. But I’d share via DM whenever you’re ready to head up here and see how far out an AR can really reach.
If it's only a quarter section that's only a maximum of ~900 yards (assuming I did my math right). Any noob with a bright new shiny Gunwerks rifle can make that shot! Especially with 29 follow up rounds!

These cross 2-4 times a week just off the highway. There was a big 320 ish bull showed up a week or so ago, I’d whack him if I drove by and he was standing out there. Couple days I drove by they were all on public with nobody shooting em. Weird! Less people hunting this year I guess. First two days it snowed. Too bad! a good massacre is always entertaining. Seems to be lots of traffic now, mostly weekends though. I sent my 63 year old uncle out there last year cause I couldn’t hunt with him and he walked over the hill and whacked one. First bull. He was happy, can’t see very well, can’t walk far. GW told me they killed over 200 on that 1/2 mile by mile section one year.

Coordinates for 12er of Montana beer.

I got an idea: Randy should hire a couple of you dirt nap dealers for his TV show. I bet his viewship would skyrocket. Public/Private, road hunters, #12milesdeep, all the above now that would be a hunting show i'd watch.
Bruh Randy can't afford this quality entertainment....

I’ve been thinking for awhile now that he needs to bring some of us on as sponsored athletes.
