2022 Sask whitetail adventures

Sat all day and I my saw a few small bucks and a couple does. Finally I was nearing the end of my day and my hopes were getting up as this buck seemed to show up fairly regularly towards the end of shooting light always. About 30 minutes before the end of shooting light I looked up and here he was coming and fast! He got up to the bait and I was going to wait for him to turn broadside but I was getting more and more excited by the second so I shot him in a steep quartering too shot. At the shot he dropped immediately!! Then the work started. Was a workout loading this big bugger by myself. And yes that’s a 6’6” truck box he filled

Nice work on the buck, great thread.

Also, does Saskatchewan offer any out-of-province February elk tags? DIY backcountry

All Sask elk hunting is resident only. So if you see elk hunts advertised it’s hunt farms or on Rez land which I would avoid

Great deer! Short season for you, are you guys allowed just the 1 buck like we are down in MN?
One either sex whitetail tag. The odd area where you can get a doe tag to go along with that either sex tag but for the most part we are a one deer area. We don’t have very high deer numbers here
