It’s interesting we got about 2 mins of video of him and I’m pretty good at identifying them from the side and close up, he never really gave us a good side view, like 3/4 of the people who have seen the video say grizz and of the pictures is most including myself say black.. lol.. I’ve only been hunting bears about two years but I’ve seen them every year, I just don’t usually hunt in grizz country and this is heavy grizz area. Only reason I’m asking is because to get to him would require crossing a decently flowing creek and gaining 2000 ft of elevation.Black
First day out hunting this season yesterday Saw this guy at mile away, grizz or black?
Went into a new area and spotted a bear about a mile out. After watching it for 20min figured it was alone and was a good bear. Dropped 800ft to go back up 800ft. Got to 100yds and setup for the shot, watched it for another 10min waiting for it to get up and turn. just when it was getting up a cub walked from behind a tree. Unloaded and sat and watched them for a little while then walk back to truck. Still looking a little time left to go
I’d take that over sitting on the couch any day! Good luck next time you goThis was our view yesterday. Snow line 300 feet above camp.
