2020 bear season was good to us. We hunted several areas this year for a total off 11 days in the mountains. Spotted 33 bears, my daughter has been trying for 5 years finally got it done, I got a pretty...ugly blonde bear. And took a friend out for his first bear. There is nothing better to me than spring In the mountains and I'm so thankful for the amount of time I got to spend there this spring.

I had a great spring - hunted a ton. Saw 27 bears with only 3 being cubs. Outside chance up to 3 are being counted twice so at least 20 different adult bears. Ended up blowing it a few times on some bears including a real monster. See pic of live bear. Shot a 6’2 old chocolate boar last night at 50 yards with my .223 to end the season. Big thanks to @EYJONAS! for the hot tip and to @Drake4 for his guiding and bear skinning/packing/beer drinking expertise.

Awesome field photo, congrats on the kill. Glad I’m not the only one who misses a stalk or two on bears I really wanna kill.

It’s interesting we got about 2 mins of video of him and I’m pretty good at identifying them from the side and close up, he never really gave us a good side view, like 3/4 of the people who have seen the video say grizz and of the pictures is most including myself say black.. lol.. I’ve only been hunting bears about two years but I’ve seen them every year, I just don’t usually hunt in grizz country and this is heavy grizz area. Only reason I’m asking is because to get to him would require crossing a decently flowing creek and gaining 2000 ft of elevation.

Went into a new area and spotted a bear about a mile out. After watching it for 20min figured it was alone and was a good bear. Dropped 800ft to go back up 800ft. Got to 100yds and setup for the shot, watched it for another 10min waiting for it to get up and turn. just when it was getting up a cub walked from behind a tree. Unloaded and sat and watched them for a little while then walk back to truck. Still looking a little time left to go

I am going through the “no more bear hunting doldrums” I got out to go wolf hunting yesterday but all that I could turn up were bears. 
I found this blondish ugly one...it looks like a 2 year old sow.
I snuck up on this red cinnamon within 27 yards and then he laid down. Sat and watched him lay on his back and swat at branches. He never spooked just wandered off.
Black kick off cub with a big white Chevron. Got chased off by the cinnamon.
Big red one eyed cinnamon boar.

I love seeing all these bears! Makes me wish Colorado had a spring season, I’ll be venturing north next spring for sure!
