I am a little late getting pics up, but better late than never. I was asked to help with this year's M.U.L.E.Y. Day Camp. M.U.L.E.Y. stands for Mindful, Understanding, Legal and Ethical Youth. This is put on annually by the Northern Badlands Chapter of the Mule Deer Foundation for local youth to expose them to some different aspects of hunting. I don't know how much I helped as I look back at the number of pictures I took!

I did get the opportunity to meet Bwana from the website and two of his turkey killing boys! A great guy with super kids. In fact his younger boy won the grand prize, a .22 rifle! During our visit Bwana had very, very kind words for the guys on this site, Greenhorn in particular. I makes me wonder how well he knows him though!:D

The weather was outstanding and it's fair to say the entire day was a great success. Ryan Krapp, Chapter Chair; Brandon Mason, Regional Director and the chapter volunteers worked hard and it shows. Here are some pics of the day:

I admire and appreciate those of you who volunteer helping our kids with hunters ed and this type of activity. I need to make time to do my part. It looks like it was a success. Thanks again.

Very cool Buschy!

I've volunteered at our DU Greenwing event for the last 3 years and it is definitely fun to watch kids who otherwise don't have the opportunity to participate in outdoor sports get excited about hunting and shooting sports.

Those pictures bring a big smile to my face. I can't wait till my boys are old enough to do something like that!

Good work!

This event really is a great way to get kids interested in the outdoors and the folks putting it on did an excellent job. Thanks for your efforts in helping to preserve our outdoor heritage. My youngest sure is tickled with his new gun!

It was cool to finally get a chance to meet a fellow hunttalker (Buschy) and better yet one from ND. Now if I could only find a way to sneak along with him on a hunt or two...
