The first step to advocating is being invited to have a seat at the table. NR do not have said seat - and dont deserve one either. If you wish for more influence/control from outside of a state - you arent going to like the results at home in your state either.

I was butt hurt about BHA refusing to pick a side on CO wolf reintroduction, and dropped my membership. I still get their emails, still sign their petitions, still share 95% of their stated values. I have seen little to nothing negative about them since the woofs. Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Project, Nature Conservancy, Wilderness Society, RMEF are others I support by membership. all of those are contacting me in opposition to divestiture of public lands currently being suggested by GOP national leadership.
