    Yoga?

Late to this but wanted to comment. I'd like to try yoga I think. I'm as flexible as a board. But I like a cardio aspect to my workouts. For those who do yoga, does it get the heart rate up to 165-170? Or do I need to go to Pilates? That seems like a better fit for what I like, as far as a core...

    Hydration drinks?

Never tried the concord grape juice, but I'm a fan of blueberry green tea at night for the antioxidants. I drink so damn much coffee the caffine doesn't keep me up.

    Hydration drinks?

Had to reply to this due to the comment about Propel and moderate exercise. I'm a huge Propel guy. Love the stuff for around the farm when I'm sweating buckets. Thought it'd would be the bomb for a hunt. Couldn't have been more wrong. Had a long hard day and drank 2 liters with Propel and felt...

    HTer Fitness Goals '24 Edition

I guess my thought from last year was this. Dropping from 190 to 165 helped a hell of a lot going up hill. Had no issues while my brother was sucking wind. Then he shot an elk and I had to help sherpa it down the mountain. He was 1/4 mile ahead of me. Takeaway: cardio rocks, but don't forget...

Just stumbled on this post so sorry for the late reply. We're from MN and have been in Unit 38 a few times, including last year getting stuck in the big storm. I guess I'd say this. If you are staying in Lovell every night, there is nothing to worry about. You'll know the forecast every...

    Ya got me WY

Beautiful scenery, but yeah, I don't think it ever stops blowing. Probably as challenging as finding elk is getting to WY in the winter. It seems to blizzard in SD every time I try to head west...

    First Elk!

Congrats! Had to be fun after dark. :) That is why when I lived in AK we always quit hunting by 5:00pm. Besides the general PITA, didn't want to be dealing with fresh meat, blood, and big toothy critters after dark.
