Ive ran the super simple bare harness, I’ve have the Kuiu one, I’ve had the AGC max cub, and a couple Marsupial’s. One open side one enclosed.
Sold all but the marsupial’s. They just work well. I got a pistol holster on the bottom or if I am not in a very bear like area I can out a pair of...
Listened to this on the drive back from Gillette to Helena. Well this one and a couple others. I’m 100% on board that there needs to be a change. Both resident and non resident side. A complete revamp isnt needed but some tweaks. I liked all the proposals mentioned. I did think about the...
Didnt make time to hunt this year. Last year I shot a WT, year prior weather was to gnarly to spend time looking. So it was 2021 season. Where I hunt in NE Montana there is quite a bit of out of state pressure but I know where some holes are they hide in.

As mentioned a few times. The larger the bell, housing the more light can come in. Think dusk, last few minutes of legal shooting light. You have a older 1” tube with a 40mm objective. With fine plex cross hairs, there may not be enough light to make a quality shot. But stepping up to a 30mm...
Great write up. I dont know if I will ever pull a goat tag. If I do, I hope its fun! Plus side, I might not have to work super hard. Keep driving by these guys 20 yrds off a county road.
I have both a sxs and an atv. Polaris RZR XP Pro 4 seater. It is great on the longer crap roads/trails but very limited in space to carry stuff. I do use my 2007 Yamaha Grizzly 700 on occasion, thing runs great but man in 5 years I think I’ve put 300 miles on it.
Either way, both have merits...
Loving me some Hockey, I do watch some NHL, but the wife and I are big fans and supporters of our local NA3HL team here in Helena. We are even hosting one of the players, good kid and man these guys really enjoy the sport!
Go Bighorns!
Its hunting, anything can happen. Id weight the cost of drive vs fly, if driving look at big cooler or even take a generator and good size deep freeze. Are you DIY’ing or useing an outfitter? If the latter Id ask tbem for recommendations.
I dont even want to list them. Lets says I have a few, but could be more. Still a few wants out there still. Definitely dont shoot them all.

Ive got a big treager but if I just wanna do a couple burgers or steaks I use my reqtec bullseye, its weber round style but pellet fed. Its cooks everything awesome!
I’ve had USAA since 2005/6 time frame and only issue I had had was banking. Wife and I have had them for home, auto and banking. Have only done 1 claim for a auto accident and was easy enough to get taken care of.
I do have 1 teenage driver and another one soon so our auto premium is outrageous….
The goods:
CA Ridgeline 300 PRC with Hornady 212 ELDx, groups great, dropped the deer in their tracks.
Savage Switchback (sportsmans model) 6.5 Creedmoor, HSM 140gr Berger VLD, stupid tight groups, makes the deer also just as dead.
Maven rangefinder, much nicer than the old vortex and Sig...
Id start with one of two questions first, what species or what location is the “bucket list” then go from there. If just a adventure, do you want to work for it or maybe just want memories with out the worry of getting lost in the bush.
