    Turkey broadheads

NAP Spitfire Maxx or XXX's. A large cutting diameter expandable is perfect. Shot placement is crucial though. You only have a couple inches to work with. I have shot a fair number with my bow and no blind, but all 8-12 yards. Less room for error!

    First Lite Clothing

If there is a post on this already, please let me know. I looked but could not find much. I'm wondering if anyone uses the First Lite clothes at all? I'm looking at buying a set for warm weather turkey hunting to try out, which could also be used for for early elk hunting. Looking for a...

Bozeman Crowd Please Avoid Map Brewery

We just had our NWTF banquet in Bozeman a couple weeks ago and have a great relationship with all of the breweries and distilleries in town. They all gave us great donations, except Map, they didn't give us anything, even after mentioning what we received from all other breweries.

    New to MT Turkey Hunting

The NWTF has a pretty active chapter in Bozeman. Not only do we BS about turkeys and turkey hunting, we are putting together JAKES educational days in town. Not all of our volunteers turkey hunt a ton, like I do, but they all believe in our mission, and I'm converting a few to chase spring...

RMEF stance on fed land transfer

One organization that a lot of people don't really think of off-hand is the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership. Not only are they VERY engaged in this political spiderweb, but they are backed by several other organizations so they have a much stronger voice. When you have the membership...

    Nwtf

Hey folks, not sure if this is allowed on here, so I apologize if not. As I mentioned in my intro last week, I'm new to the forums, and will be getting into the mountains for the first time this fall hunting. I'm from KS originally, so I have a ton to learn, and that is why I got on HuntTalk. I...

MT NR Big game Combo now over $1,000

License increases are happening across the country because it takes $$ to manage wildlife. Whether we agree that costs are what they should be, or the states are managing correctly is beside the point. States don't have the funds to manage in today's world due to increasing operations costs, and...

State Lands That No Longer Exist

A lot of the time it is actually Corps of Engineers property, and the state will have a long term lease to manage for recreational opportunities. That is how a lot of the wildlife areas in KS are at least.

State Lands That No Longer Exist

Thanks all, this is great information.... Well the info is great, the trend is no so great. I had no clue my home state had over 2 million acres in this program, and now 0.

State Lands That No Longer Exist

Does someone know of a good reference site to see how many acres of land each state was given at statehood, compared to how many they have now? Was it just the western states that were given this land? For instance, I am originally from KS and there is absolutely no "state lands", like there are...

    Mystery Ranch Marshall on Camofire-$360

Well, I "pulled the trigger". I'm new to Montana and this different style of hunting than I am used to back home in KS, but I have heard nothing but good about these packs. Can't wait until it gets here!

    Need new Binos

I would suggest Maven's for a few reasons. You can customize them if you want, they are just straight up great optics, and I have a code I can give you that will give you 10% off, and then they kick back 15% to the NWTF. Can't beat doing business with companies that give back!

    WA/ID/MT Trip

Good numbers in that area for sure. If you are around there during the last weekend in April, the NWTF is having a banquet in Kalispell ;)

    Hello

Hey all. I'm new to the forums and just wanted to say hello. I decided to post this in the Turkey thread since I also am the Regional Director for the NWTF in MT and WY. As you can imagine I'm addicted to chasing them each spring, and with my bow. I've lived in MT just over a year now and...
