It seems to me that you need to set your trap where the coons are.If you have gone severall weeks with out any there's probly not any there to be cought :D Coons are very inquisative and will go for any bait sweet or stinky they got to check it out.Good luck

If you where talking Hand guns I would say go for the 44 mag.But in a rifle I would definetly go for the 45/70 I think its one of the best bear killers there is Up to 100 yd's. I personaly cary a 41 mag and love it.I have never had a bear get up and ask me if that was a 44 or 41 yet
We have used chocklet penut butter cups one year and it realy worked good.Last year we had 3,000 # of Jelly beans and that worked good too,plus they where real easy to handle.The only problem with them was all the Beany bears LOL

I Talked to the precher in Fryberg and there was a bear seen there eating bird seed last weekend. I traveled about 40 miles by 4 weeler today and see no sighn of bears out here yet.We still have lots of snow in the woods some roads are pasable but prity muddy.The ice looks like it mite be out...
