My Grinder Sucks - Grinder reviews

LEM big bite #12. That thing will grind a muffler! Probably. Eying a foot pedal though. I keep the tube, auger, blade, plates and cap in the freezer to help keep temps down when grinding.

    Health Insurance

True. Again, it’s a problem with how the system is setup. Reimbursements across healthcare are based on doing stuff TO people. Ie; an interventional cardiologist who placed a stent will make a boatload of $$. A primary care provider who busts their ass coaching you to stay healthy makes very little.

    Health Insurance

What makes it even harder is (paraphrasing a recent Atlantic article) we are fighting a virus whose hosts are at war with us. It’s been super fun arguing medicine with every joe blow who has COVID and a Google search.

    Health Insurance

It’s part of the disconnect between admin and people who actually provide healthcare. Our facility is managed by balance sheet alone and they don’t GAF how burnt out the frontline folks are. Slap a healthcare heroes sign up and carry on.

    Health Insurance

Speaking my language! Currently, insurance will cover all the crap you need once you’re chronically ill, but nothing that prevents that in the first place.

    Health Insurance

I hear you on this, for sure. And I don’t have a solution to offer. A lot of healthcare dollars are spent on chronic disease management—type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, COPD, CHF, obesity…. I’d love to see responsibility for health be put back on the individual, with the healthcare...

    Health Insurance

Medicine is dictated by insurance companies now. They determine if the imaging or medications I order are “appropriate” and will be covered.

    Swaro SLC vs….

Every time I use my SLCs, I smile and thank myself for the investment. I often over-research gear, and this is one purchase that I never question or wonder if there’s something better over the fence.

    Health Insurance

Couple of things here. Providers (Docs, PAs, NPs) have very, if any, control over the billing practices. If it’s a small independent outpatient clinic, maybe. But if it’s part of a hospital or hospital system, forget it. I can’t even get accurate cost estimates for my patients about how much...

Looking for a good deer/elk knife

I’ve used a benchmade bugout, havalon, outdoor edge, mora, gerber ebs, and koa Yukon. The Yukon is definitely the best for me, skinning and quartering.

    300 win mag rifles

I appreciate all the input. I reload, but otherwise am a stock rifle guy. Sounds like I can’t go wrong here.

    300 win mag rifles

I’m looking at a few rifles for a 300 win mag. Anyone have firsthand experience with any of these in this caliber? Ruger American Howa 1500/weatherby vanguard Browning x-bolt stalker Thanks.

Off the shelf or DIY first aid kit?

Online course? Here ya go. Focused on managing life threatening bleeding. You’ll have a better idea of what to do with that tourniquet and quick clot. Also….these are two items to buy from a reputable retailer (I like North American rescue). Too many counterfeits out there, and it’s a dark day...

Off the shelf or DIY first aid kit?

Best money spent is on knowledge first, and then buying or building a kit based on that knowledge.

    Binocular to tripod adopter

https://www.reallyrightstuff.com/Cinch-LR-Polymer-Molded This is what I use. I’ve had the post adapters from vortex and field optics, and the cinch Lr is superior IMO. Good intersection of price and performance.

Hunter recruitment is why are WY resident draw odds getting worse for antelope

I’m guilty as well as a Wyoming transplant. I saw the same thing happen in Colorado. Say, two decades ago, if ten people moved to the state, maybe 6 would be interested in the outdoor scene. As the state exploded, it went to 10 out of 10. Definitely is stretching and overloading resources. At...

    Optics upgrade

Look through them, obviously! Kidding. I hunt western Wyoming. A lot of big country. Deer, bear, elk, antelope. Definitely a bunch of glassing as opposed to still hunting or stand hunting. My C1s are very middle of the road. Nothing terrible to say, but they do have their limitations. I’ve...

    Optics upgrade

So I’ve been messing around with my optics setup. I currently have Maven C1 10x42s, no spotter. I tried 15s, and prefer a spotter. I’ve been mulling buying a pair of SLCs. My question: are my dollars better put toward a spotter and keeping the mavens, or upgrading the binos and keeping the...
