Such a cool trip to do DIY!!
I'd love to pick your brain a little about this. Just the Harlequin and Common Teal would make the trip worth it for me. Have you done this trip previously, or was that your first go?
Thanks for sharing!
My favorite part of this video is your persistence. You were not going to give up, even though you were up
against obstacles. Obviously you guys made a great decision in exploiting your find of water/wallow. And lastly, you proved it doesn't take $1000 in camo and a $500 pack to get it done.
Eugene Streekstra of Wildfowl Unlimited in Florence, MT. He is everything you're looking for. He is in Montana and does great work. Whether you are looking for a simple mount, or an extreme pose he's got you covered.
I still can't believe you didn't shoot that bull on the second to last day! I do think it's very cool you had in your mind what you wanted and stuck to it, not simply killing a bull for another set of antlers!
In NM I'd guess Richardsons, commonly just referred to as lessers, like the geese pictured above. The birds that started this thread are part of a grouping of small race Canada's referred to as cacklers, they are not true cacklers or "cackling Canada geese."
I love seeing these bucks that still live in the wild. That tag has turned into an easy way to
Kill inches to brag about. This hunt and Randy11's hunt from last year are the reasons I still hope to draw this tag someday.
