Idaho Regs and maybe a dumb ?

My friend and I are headed to Idaho for mule deer this fall. I was staring at my gear the other day and something hit me…. Idaho has fairly strict rules/Regs. Like “no lighted knocks”. My buddy bought a Burris eliminator III for this trip. Can anyone confirm if that is allowed?? I read the...

    Camp Gear ??

So I want to add a cot to my hunting gear. I ordered the “Teton xxl”. Opened it up and put it right back in the box to return… way! Too big. What cots do people like? Not for a back pack hunt. Something where side by side or 4wheeler would be used to get camp in

    Rain pants!

I have first lite rain pants…. They are the first FL item I’m not satisfied with…. They are too snug and loud to slip on and off. What does everyone use for a rain pant? Something to keep in the pack and slip on over your pants when needed. Preferably slip on without taking boots off

    Puffer coat for glassing?

I want to add a lightweight, packable puffer coat to my gear list. Heading to Idaho this October for my first mule deer hunt. I know weather can very so much, I was thinking this would be good to keep in my pack when sitting and glassing to stay warm. Curious what everyone thinks and uses...

    Boots for September Hunt

I have a pair of danners that I got in 2011. Used them turkey hunting and a handful of elk hunts and they are pretty hammered. 2 years ago I got a pair of kenetrek Turkey hunting, a Newfoundland moose hunt and an idaho elk hunt and they are holding up well. Very impressed and they are...

Here’s a pic of the moose…. We were almost done cutting him up and just pure accident. Gloves would have saved a mess that’s for sure!
