This one on sale at Buck Gardner calls makes a pretty good sound and is easy to blow.

Tri-Tronics was bought out by garmin a while back, so the toggle switch at the top of the remote that pointingdogsrule posted is pretty much the same switch I was using. I used the top one for one dog, and the bottom one for the other. Then left the swith in the middle (empty collar) position.
I've got at older tri-tronics pro 100 that I used on two dogs. It was set up with a toggle switch on the remote that you could color code to the dog. Black/Blue/Red on the switch that represented the Black/Blue/Red collar on the dog.
I'm not sure how the sport-dog switches between dogs, but...
I too doubt our local schools with go back this year. I'm hearing rumors that a school construction project slated for summer break is gearing up to start in Early May.
My wife and I were married on Leap Day. We decided that we wouldn't do much for the typical anniversary, but would take a big trip every 4 years. This was the first time leap day has come around since getting married. We had a trip to Jamaica cut short after 3 days, and are now Quarantined at...
I was skeptical of using three when i started at this new company. Now it seems weird not to have them! And yeah....there are times of the year where one monitor always has google earth or OnX open on it.
Just finished converting a corner of the guest bedroom into an office. I will be here for at least 2 weeks. Who knows what will happen in that time, so I'm assuming it will be longer than that.
I was gifted a pair of stock tires from a guy that upgraded his when he purchased a new truck. I ran those things for 3 years, and never had a problem. This was on an old truck that Had 215K miles on it and I didn't want to invest in expensive tires thinking I would either sell the truck or it...
Join a local Hunting Retriever club in you area. No better way to train a dog then to spend time with people that train dogs. I'm sure the local clubs hold training days available to all members.
We ran into a quirk while goose hunting this past December. We'd scout and find a field full of geese on a BMA, then find out the permission is administered by the Regional FWP office. Which doesn't exactly do us a lot of good when scouting on a Saturday or Sunday for the next mornings hunt...
Your 20 Degree Kelty bag should do the trick. I wouldn't worry about upgrading your optics specifically for this trip, but if its something you've been thinking about for other uses....have at it.
In all honesty. Take what you already have and go hunt! I've hunted the 40-mile herd a bit...
I'm a Tri-tronics guy Myself. Haven't had to upgrade to the Garmin Models yet because the old tri-tronics one keeps on working. I also like the old cylinder style remotes for training. But they can be cumbersome on a hunt.
If I were buying a collar, I'd be looking at a garmin first and then...
Agreed. I'm not in the tit-for-tat camp when it comes to money discussions like this. Sit down and discuss the things that are important to you and your spouse and make a plan to achieve them. Life would get real expensive if every purchase you ever made had to be balanced with a purchase by...
Do you make approximately the same amount? Seems like a little lopsided if say you made 150K / year and your wife made 35k/year. While your percentage of the shared contributions would be higher, you'd be left with a much larger disposable income after expenses then your spouse. Also, gets...
We get a few spoonies every year, but I wouldn't say its the norm. Mostly Teal and Gadwall in the early season. Mallards come and go in waves toward the middle of the season, and then a heavy dose of divers (Goldeneye) in the late season.
