after you download them, make sure to turn on "offline maps" in the options. Then set your phone to airplane mode, disconnecting it from the outside world, and see if the maps show up. They should, if the download went through correctly. Maybe the correct basemap wasn't selected before...
you download by the square mile, so I just download the areas I plan to be in. you are right though, if you have no idea where you plan to go, it would not work that well. I usually have a 10 square mile or so area I know i'll be keying in on. realistically, I have a much smaller area than...
I have to agree 100% with Brendan. I've saved the maps for hunts in Colorado and Kentucky where cellular connection was non-existent. It worked amazingly well. I don't understand the "use a GPS for a GPS and a phone for a phone". Who wouldn't want one less piece of equipment to charge every...
nope nope nope nope nope....the muskrats around here swim in shallow streams fed by farm chemicals and the overflows from septic tanks that sit usually within throwing distance of the ditch. Maybe a Montana muskrat in a spring fed stream, but not in my neck of the woods, no way...
I paid for it though this year, had about a 200 yard pack up to the road
everybody else on here would probably say I'm not a real elk hunter since I've never done the death hike. But honestly, who doesn't like them broadside in top pin range, less than 500 feet from the road? Anybody not...
luckily this one died on this big rock...er.....loading dock....literally stood just above it and fell over dead on the rock. Likelihood of that ever happening again?
I drew an archery bull tag this year. There's something like 70,000 total applications, 900 tags given, 100 are archery bull, 10% of those are for non-residents like myself. I can't remember, but the odds of me drawing were like 1 in 650 or 0.15%. Yes it's extremely lucky if you draw. But if...
....sleepin out all night beneath the desert stars, with a dream in my eye and a prayer in my hearrrrrttttt. shoulda been a cowboy.....
Is this where you were goin with it?
Is that an offer to send all your waypoints? bahahahahaha :W:
I have friends in Denver, maybe it's time to tell them to start taking pictures when they see animals on their hikes eh? The place must be crawling with hikers and sightseers, and probably a few anti's
The success rates are above 35% for archery....I'm just sayin, if I wanted to fly into Denver and go after some mule deer, it looks like it wouldn't be a terrible option. I guess not from what I'm hearing...
I've been doing some research on Unit 39 for mule deer. I've never been on a mule deer hunt, and having already shot a few elk (I'm an easterner), I started buying CO mule deer points last year. GoHunt.com shows the draw odds as 100% for 1 point. The success rates are highest in the state and...

I saw that video too, and thought that was maybe the case, but every one in the pack of extras was the same way. definitely not scalpel sharp at all. just glad I had two other fixed blades and my buddy had two others as well. we made quick work of him anyways, just thought it was strange. I...
