My kids hunt mule deer with a Grendel in an AR platform. Super accurate, good ballistics out to 350 +/-, and almost zero felt recoil. It's not for everyone- but it works for us!

Points only for me in CO this year. I was 90% sure I was going to buy points only before this whole Covid situation. Side note, I didn't apply in MT and points only in WY/NV. Planning to hunt alot closer to home this year...
Some of the hunts that mean the most have nothing to do with antlers...Sounds like you made the most of this opportunity. Congrats on doing it your way. Makes me think a little more about waiting to go on some of those hunts I say I'll do someday.
I just saw this thread. I recognize that area- I've been stuck down that way a time or two. Had some long walks out in my younger years. That country is no joke, glad it all worked out!
