Yes, we have discussed this in the past, and he can certainly do this.
I would actually be interested in doing this type of hunt there myself.
Bossie’s the guy I’d choose to do it with too.
Having worked in Africa for 4 years, I hunted extensively in 3 different countries and made some great friends and contacts. My good friend Bossie Mostart runs a great outfit in South Africa and can tailor a trip to suit your needs. He’s the most versatile PH I know. I’ve hunted with him plenty...
I've been solo hunting since I was a young boy hunting small game.
Since becoming an adult, I hunt alone for weeks at a time, sometimes covering several states on 5-6 week adventures for all types of big game.
I enjoy the company of other hunters at times, but I have no problem going it alone...
Hey fellows, I'm working in the twin cities area in Minnesota for a couple more weeks. I'm hoping to find some property to access for some turkey hunting around here or south of here on my way home after the job is done.
Thanks,
Jeff
Man, whatever you do, do not touch that bore!
If it's grouping, it's in the condition that it needs and wants to be in. When you begin to lose accuracy, that is the rifle telling you to clean it.
If a accurate hunting rifle means anything at all to you, then listen to your rifle.
I'll shoot my old trusty Mathews Switchback XT for deer in Iowa and for elk in Wyoming if I can get there early enough.
I'll try out my new Long Range Rifles by Len Bachus - 28 Nosler pushing the 195 gr Berger EOL outside of archery season though. She's doing great on the range and I can't...
I can't do the hard plastic ones for lotsa reasons.
+1 on the volleyball type and get them as big as possible to wear comfortably over your pants.
Or wear Sitka Timberline or Mountain Pants with the removable knee pads. They're redesigned this year and are more flexible and comfortable. This...
No more Mtn House for me. Don't get me wrong, I have eaten them aplenty and I've done ok with them but after discovering more healthy and palatable meals such as Heathers Choice and the ones that I can make myself I won't miss the Mtn House.
For instance...
I'm introducing a newbie to western mountain hunting in a big way with a elk hunt in NW Wyoming griz country. I drew a great bull tag and he picked up a cow tag. He's been a great student and has really geared up and got ready. We will hunt the archery rut and pick up a rifle in October if we...
I've taken game up to big bull moose with a 454 Casull and I also hunt with my 460 S&W Magnum. They share bullets and for Bison I'd choose the same 360 grain hard cast Buffalo Bore load that I shot my moose with. It will definitely do the job for you.
After building points for several years I finally found the place I want to hunt so I pulled the trigger and drew the tag. I'm really looking forward to a fun archery rut hunt in zone 5.
Hey fellows,
I am looking to buy the connecting tarp that fits between 2 Seek Outside LBO bases to create the base/tarp/base configuration.
I prefer one with the Stove Jack installed, but I'll consider one without it.
I'd also like to pick up a 2 person nest.
Thanks,
Jeff
These are brand new and have only been tried on in my home and then put away in the closet. They are a size small, and in my estimation they run slightly big and fit about like a 31 waist x 33 length.
These are my favorite pants by Kuiu, and are a very nice piece of gear but I have decided to...
As more great information trickles in I feel that I'm forming a solid game plan based on what I'm learning from the friendly fellow hunters that share their experiences and knowledge of my hunt area with me.
Thanks Guys!
Jeff
Hey fellows, I have for sale a Big Agnes Fly Creek 1 Platinum Tent. Coming in at under 2 lbs, it's the very lightest tent made by them and is extremely packable with plenty of room for one person. It is brand new and has never been out of it's storage bag. I have included a link to the tent at...
