I've not had that tag, but I have been on a couple of hunts just to the east of there. I would guess the situations are similar. Elk are present, but they range widely, and finding them in all that country can be tough. One of those hunts where you could go out without a tag and find a herd...
That's why random draw systems are the best. You can draw absolutely nothing for 5 years straight, and then for the next five years draw absolutely nothing. :cool:

Drew less than usual, but that was by design since we already have Wyoming elk tags. I do get to hunt desert mule deer in rifle season. Also my dad and uncle drew NE rifle bull tags.
