Stuffing made with High Life is my favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner. You have to bring it up to a boil fairly slow or it foams up too fast but it's worth it.
I just got four back in 13 days. Last three in December took 17 days. I can't complain but it's still ridiculous how long some people have been waiting. Mine are all individual E file at a big sporting goods store.
I've had two 300 Weatherby's. One was an older Vanguard and it grouped well with factory ammo and my loads. The other was a newer MarkV and it grouped extremely well with a couple different factory loads but I never got better than around two inches with anything I tried to load for it. It's...
I had the Remington Marlin SBL but sold it and got the Ruger made when they came out. Probably my favorite rifle. 380 grain Lehigh is my go to bullet in it. I've taken an elk, couple bears, and boars with it. I lightly load it with a 300 grain soft cast bullet and pull the scope off then shoot...
I picked up a Scheels exclusive West River Mesa in 6.5 prc recently. Haven't fired it much but it's throwing tight groups with 127 Barnes lrx and Hornady 130 cx bullets. The quality control seems pretty solid on it. I think it'll be my new deer rifle from now on.
I'm terrible at calling and setting up a decent decoy spread but fortunately I've got a friend who's got it very dialed in and invites me along. Howie gets a little better every time we go out and is becoming a pretty great all purpose bird dog.
Yeah the ceilings are awful in this house but we bought it when the rates were crazy low and and decided not to really put any money into just a couple little updates. We're building the next house how we want it.
My dad first drew an antelope tag in the early 80's in Oregon so I was too young to tag along. I drew one in high school around 94 or 95 but wasn't able to go due to fires in the unit. My dad retired in 2003 and his shop guys got together and bought him his dream rifle a MarkV stainless 240...
I never got around to posting these last Summer but I finally finished setting up the reloading room. Some miss ordered bathroom cabinets from work for free and a couple pieces of 3/4 acx screwed together covered with adhesive floor vinyl tiles for the beach top. Plenty of room for most...
Howie flushed and retrieved his first pheasants yesterday. He was too young and had major surgery last Fall but he's fully recovered and doing great so far this season.
Mine showed up a couple months ago and I finally found time to throw a scope on it this evening. Even with low rings it sits a bit higher than I prefer but not too horrible. Hopefully I'll get some range time in this weekend. Went with the 308.
Howie just turned 1 year old last week. His dad is extremely red in color. His mother looks about like him, not full red but not yellow either. He's been a great dog but did go through some major shoulder surgery at 6 months. He recovered really well. The Corgi is a month older and still a...
